Monthly Favourites - April 2017

This month has felt like the longest month of 2017 so far. Thanks to my exams being at the very end, I’ve had, arguably, too much free time. Even looking back and thinking about my favourites was a challenge. But hey, we got there, and I am happy to give you a glimpse of what this month has been for me. 1.        LaLaLand Soundtrack If you haven’t seen this movie yet, you are missing out. I got the CD for my birthday (old school, I know), and I’ve been jamming to it in the car. I also have it playing on Spotify right now. I was always a drama kid, and this makes me so incredibly happy to listen to. The music is so fantastic. 2.        Beauty and the Beast How could I not put this on the list? I thought this remake was so magical. Any sane person loves Emma Watson, and she adds so much to every role. I loved the music and the singing and the costumes and everything. It was magical. 3.   ...

Ottawa

Since I’ve been back in Canada, I haven’t been travelling. So, since all of my exams have been at the end of the exam period, I took a train to Ottawa to see my best friend. Julia and I have known each other for 19 years this September. She moved to Ottawa in the fall, and I hadn’t seen her since November 11 th . Day One I’m skipping the first day I got there since we didn’t do much. I had a paper to work on while she finished work, so I sat in a cafe across the street. We had an amazing dinner, and we watched a movie. Our first actual day together was perfectly us. It was a crummy day so what better to do than to cafe hop? I had a ma...

Life Updates - Again

Hi everyone! Don’t mind me – I’m just digging myself out of the hole I created. This year was really hard. I’m not quite done school yet (two more exams to go), but I am so ready for it to be over. I’m currently working on getting my life pulled together again, so I thought I would share some things that have happened to me these past few months. 1.        I am currently in the process of getting my tonsils out. This has been the true definition of a process. Do you remember at the beginning of my time in England when I was in the hospital for tonsillitis? Well, this week marked the fourth time in two years that I was in the hospital for the same problem. Basically, I have abnormally large tonsils. I’ve been trying to get referrals, but it’s been hard. An ENT specialty guy looked at my tonsils this week, so he’s trying to push a referral for me. I am so desperate just to get these things away from my body. I’m fine by the way. They did a full test o...
