I have once again received something to review from BzzAgent. The last product I reviewed was deodorant,
and going along with the beauty theme, I have received shampoo, conditioner,
and oil elixir from Herbal Essence’s Wild Naturals Rejuvenation Collection. The
way BzzAgent works is that they have a series of activities to complete. Last
time, a blog post was required. It isn’t this time, but I figured I would give
you all the full review anyway!
This collection
is meant to restore hair back to its natural state. It strengthens and nourishes
your hair. Using all the products together is meant to give your hair extra
protection against breakage and give your hair extra shine! My hair was
generally healthy before I started using the products, so I don’t know if I got
the whole she-bang. The scent is Turkish fig and cassia flower. I have no idea
what either of those are supposed to smell like, but I liked the scent of the
shampoo and conditioner. Just so you know, I have thin hair. Thin hair tends to
become greasy quicker than other hair types. This affected my experience with
the product.
Overall, the products did what they said they would. My hair
was so soft with the use of all three. I did not particularly like the shampoo.
I found that it did not lather very well. I also had to wash my hair more often
than I like. I am not convinced that it does a good job of cleaning my hair and
stripping it from the harsh chemicals of the pool. The conditioner was my
favourite product of all three. I could feel it working as soon as I lathered
it into my hair. My hair was noticeably softer even when it was wet. Once I
added the oil, I was golden! I know it works because when I didn’t use it,
there was a difference in the softness of my hair. I did experiment with it a
little more. I tried adding it to my whole head, but it did not work out with
my thin hair. With thin hair, using it on only the ends of your hair will do. I
also suggest using it only when you wash your hair with the shampoo and conditioner.
You won’t get the full effect if you use it by itself.
I would not buy this product for myself. I keep mentioning
my thin hair, and that’s important because that was the cause of the biggest
issue. Putting oil in my hair is just that – putting oil in my hair. I would
not use oil elixirs of any kind in the future. I went without it some days, and
I still had to increase the amount of times I wash my hair. For me, limited
washes is important when it comes to hair treatments, so this collection did
not cut it. I love the scent, and I know the stuff works, so I have suggested
it to my friends, and I would suggest it to anyone with thicker hair. I just didn’t
have a great experience for myself.
