Pinterest Challenge- Zax Sauce

Today has involved a lot of sleep, a long line, and working with no voice. This is that aftermath of O-week. I regret nothing. It was the most incredible week of my life, and I leave it feeling so fulfilled. However, my life is so disorganized right now. I'm surprised that I remembered to write a blog post (pay no mind to the fact that it is really down to the wire).

I took these pictures knowing that I would want something easy to do when I got back from the week away. Excuse me for the awful editing on the number 8. I tried to fix it, but my brain is simply too tired and I ended up messing it all up. So you will just have to deal with this.

Ingredients:

  1. 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  2. 1/4 cup ketchup
  3. 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  4. 1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  5. Black pepper

Instructions:

1. Add 1/2 cup of mayonnaise.
2. Add 1/4 cup of ketchup.
3. Add 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder.
4. Stir all together.
5. Add 1/4 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce.
6. Coat the mix with black pepper (I did it twice, but it depends on how peppery you want it to taste).
7. Stir all ingredients together.
8. Refrigerate for at least two hours before dipping.

This was the most random idea, but it was certainly worth it! The recipe is from Domestic Superhero, and they totally nailed this copycat recipe. I loved dipping those fries in there! Although word of advice- don't mix it with pizza crust! Don't forget to check out my food board on Pinterest, as well as my completed challenges board.

What is your favourite dip to eat with fries (other than ketchup)?

Is fall not the best reading season? I’m so glad I’ve had a few opportunities to sit on the front porch, wrapped in a fuzzy blanket with a hot drink and my book. Right now, it’s raining outside and all I want to do is cozy up and get back to my book. I’ve read some great non-fiction in the past six weeks. I’m learning so much about how people relate to the world around them. That is so important to me. Check them out! The Reason I Jump: The Inner Voice of a Thirteen-Year-Old Boy with Autism – Naoki Higashida – 4 Stars         This is a very short book that I think everyone should read – particularly those who work with children. Although knowledge has come a long way, there is still so much more to be learned about autism. This book is a series of question that Naoki Higashida answers from his point of view. Interspersed is also a handful of short stories from Higashida’s point of view.         It’s an i...

Copycat the Cool Way #2

I admit that I am a little late with this post. Things have been insane school-wise so I haven’t been keeping up to date with all my posts. Or anything for that matter. Plus, I got a new phone and I had to figure out how to get all the pictures from my old phone on to my laptop. Ugh. The following blurb is an imitation of my brain: duibqieufbijenwcijaaiojcfpo wijojndwqioNQIOENFONIONICQNINQ/ what? Descriptive right? Bear with me, I’m pre-writing a couple posts while I’m focused on blogging. I got you covered. Monday- Probably my favourite pants ever. They’re super comfy, but it can be tough to style them. I took the inspiration from a picture from a magazine (I think it might have been Glamour). It was also a spring day in Canada (did not last long), so I wanted to keep it cool temperature-wise. I have a blue cardigan that I typically wear instead of the scarf. Also, rainboots. Buy rainboots. They are the best for the icky, slushy, melty weather that is just around the corn...
