Copycat the Cool Way #29

I knew I wanted to continue these posts at the end of the summer months, but I had no idea how odd this outfits would end up looking all together! The weather this month has gone right from winter to summer and back to colder temperatures! So there is a wide variety of outfits for your viewing pleasure. I have also completely made up the days of the week just so it fits with the regular style of these posts. Anyway...

Monday- This outfit was for my final exam. I decided to take the inspiration from Polyvore and dress up a little to celebrate my second year finale. Who doesn't love a good blazer? Especially if it's red!

Blazer- Smart Set
Shirt- Reitmans
Jeans- Old Navy

Tuesday- These pictures are out of order, but we're fine with it. I needed a cozy outfit that still looked good for an evening of studying at school. Enter statement necklace and shirt from a Nordstrom ad (original picture found here). This shirt is so pretty (it has some lace design that is not seen in the picture), but it is one of the softest shirts I have ever worn. I would wear it to bed if that was acceptable. And we know I love a good statement necklace!

Shirt- Reitmans
Jeans- Old Navy
Boots- Sears
Necklace- Old Navy

Wednesday- I wore this outfit to a barbeque. I actually had to look something up, because my outfit board on Pinterest is geared towards the cooler school months. This NudeVotion ad is perfect a festival look if that's what you're into. I clearly went a different way with it.

Kimono- Suzy Shier
Shirt- Aerie
Shorts- Old Navy

Thursday- I think I reversed the colour scheme from Hello Fashion. I loved the idea of the stripes, and I had not worn this shirt in a long time. I wore this to go out for late night appetizers with some friends, and I added my heeled booties to it. It was a perfect casual weekend outfit.

Scarf- Garage
Shirt- Target
Jeans- Old Navy

Friday- This is one of those outfits where I just took the idea from Sprinkles of Style and made it my own. This shirt has been a great one when I put it on. It works really well with my body type, and it's so cute! This would also work with white pants. I have shied away from anything white, but now I'm finally starting to be less afraid. But seriously, it's one of the most stressful outfits when white is involved.

Shirt- Reitmans
Shorts- Old Navy

Saturday- I nailed this outfit. I don't do crop tops like the inspiration from Beauty Undefined, but I did it to the best of my ability. I adore this cardigan so much as well. I definitely had a similar outfit in a previous post, but I wore my beloved Oxfords with this one. I think I bought these jeans at the beginning of the year, and they have been a fantastic purchase!

I know this was a little longer than usual, but these were pretty much all the outfits I wore! I'm realizing now that I missed a couple, but I fully intend to take pictures of them to post in June's outfits! I don't know if I'll have a significant amount of outfits over the next few months because work really kicks up, but I'm still planning to get out and do as much as possible. Giving you guys some actual content is good incentive!

Is fall not the best reading season? I’m so glad I’ve had a few opportunities to sit on the front porch, wrapped in a fuzzy blanket with a hot drink and my book. Right now, it’s raining outside and all I want to do is cozy up and get back to my book. I’ve read some great non-fiction in the past six weeks. I’m learning so much about how people relate to the world around them. That is so important to me. Check them out! The Reason I Jump: The Inner Voice of a Thirteen-Year-Old Boy with Autism – Naoki Higashida – 4 Stars         This is a very short book that I think everyone should read – particularly those who work with children. Although knowledge has come a long way, there is still so much more to be learned about autism. This book is a series of question that Naoki Higashida answers from his point of view. Interspersed is also a handful of short stories from Higashida’s point of view.         It’s an i...

Copycat the Cool Way #2

I admit that I am a little late with this post. Things have been insane school-wise so I haven’t been keeping up to date with all my posts. Or anything for that matter. Plus, I got a new phone and I had to figure out how to get all the pictures from my old phone on to my laptop. Ugh. The following blurb is an imitation of my brain: duibqieufbijenwcijaaiojcfpo wijojndwqioNQIOENFONIONICQNINQ/ what? Descriptive right? Bear with me, I’m pre-writing a couple posts while I’m focused on blogging. I got you covered. Monday- Probably my favourite pants ever. They’re super comfy, but it can be tough to style them. I took the inspiration from a picture from a magazine (I think it might have been Glamour). It was also a spring day in Canada (did not last long), so I wanted to keep it cool temperature-wise. I have a blue cardigan that I typically wear instead of the scarf. Also, rainboots. Buy rainboots. They are the best for the icky, slushy, melty weather that is just around the corn...
